Watched Alien 3 the other day. What were they thinking?

They killed off Ripley, Cpl Hicks, Newt, and well Bishop was pretty much a trash heap, diorama fodder for Jor.

I read somewhere, lost the link, that Cameron had mentioned once re-doing Alien 3 the way he envisioned it.

Anyone else hear anything about that?

I think Cameron's way only survives in comic book form. Maybe if the rumors are true and he does Alien 5 (writes it), he'll find a way to bring those charactes back...
